Oakland rapper Paris, whose new album was rejected by Warner Bros. because of a song about an assassin stalking George Bush, has put out Sleeping with the Enemy on his own Scarface label. Paris says the song, Bush Killa, "is not meant to glorify violence (or) incite black youth...(but) to express my outrage at the violence directed day after day at the African-American community." Paris had hoped to release the album before the presidential election, but Warner Bros., home to such controversial artists as Madonna, Prince and Ice-T, refused to handle it.
