Public Enemy - Rebirth of a Nation

By Will Jordan, Rib Magazine

Public Enemy is undoubtedly one of the most influential groups in hip-hop. Minus Flava's sellout appearances on VH1 (at least he's always been consistently bizarre), PE members have always stayed true to their original sound and stuck to their guns musically and philosophically. Chuck D remains one of the most profoundly outspoken MCs. His partnership with Paris takes the music to the next level. After a lengthy hiatus for all included, it's nice to hear some new tunes from the bunch. Every song is like a trip back in time with a new spin.
